How many times have you been in a clothing or housewares shop and said "I know I could make that if I knew how to sew." Well you know what? you can. If you know how to sew, you can make that pillow you want in just the right shade of blue and actually hem the pants you never wear because they have always been a little too long.
Sewing can be therapeutic, like so many crafts, it's a way to keep your hands busy, feel good about making something yourself and have fun, which is really the most important thing. Sewing wasn't my first choice of craft or hobby Punch Needle was. I had a very dramatic experience in my early 20's and this was one of the ways I coped with a stressful season of my life. But when I think back schools offered creative outlets for student. Our art, gym, home-economics classes met weekly just about everyday thru out the year. In addition to this, my mother taught us how to crochet, sew, macrame. I encourage you to try a craft, take a class and make some time to create something beautiful for yourself or to gift someone.

Stressful Day
In what ways do you find relaxation during a stressful day? During this time of year, I get very busy at work and filling orders. Besides sewing and crafting for relaxation. When I go to Etsy.com the main page usually has color themed items. I find the color combinations very soothing. Plus it's amazing how talented and creative people are. Etsy.com has given artist a fabulous avenue to express themselves and showcase there items. Take a look one day.

Sewing Classes
We're already into February! This year is off to a busy start. I have just posted all of the classes I can think of, or have time to teach for the Month of February and March. Hopefully, there is one or more classes perfect for you.
What Class do you take after you take the Beginner Class? Well, there is the Lounge Pants Class for Adults and a New Lounge Pants Class for Children. If you don't want to take the Adult Lounge Pants Class, why not try the 1 hour Pants Class. Create your own Elastic/Drawstring Casual Pants.
In addition to these classes, there are various Project Classes to take; Pillow Class, Tote or Purse Class and more. I'm always open to Class suggestions. I will try to keep a 2 month in advance class listing.
As always Thanks
